Mrs. Stefanik presented the award to Mrs. Norris. She said, "I would like to present the CUBS award to this person because she came into this school year when things were a little messy and has jumped right in and done an amazing job helping however she can. She often goes above and beyond and is always asking how she can help! In her short time here she has already made many connections with staff whether she is offering gardening advice, bringing in flower bulbs and plants to share or just being a smiling face at the end of everyday." Mrs. Hart presented the award to Mr. Dennis and said, "I am presenting the CUBS award to him for a multitude of reasons. He has been a positive presence in our school building for a few years. He has wonderful relationships with many students and is willing to lend a helping hand when asked. He never hesitates to go to the Y to swim, entertain students with ‘Would you rather?’ questions at recess or offer advice to a student who may need some support. I’ve known him for a few years but have had the pleasure of having him in my classroom this year. He is compassionate, flexible and his presence is a wonderful asset to our building."

We have two new CUB recipients! Miss Frager gave Mrs. Hart the award for, " being friendly and helpful to everyone around her. She has taken the time to get to know me personally and professionally. She has helped locate resources, talked through tricky situations with me, and always says hi to myself and all my students in the halls! Mrs. Hicks gave Mrs. Stefanik the award because, " She has patience in the most frustrating times. Her teaching methods have brought many smiles to her students’ faces. I enjoyed the time, I have spent in class with her, watching her in the classroom as well as with her peers, she is always willing to help others and does so smiling and caring."

Check out our new CUBS award winners! Miss Swett presented Miss Frager with the award because, "She has shown excellence in her first year at CCES. She handles stress with grace and kindness. She is willing to collaborate with colleagues and try new things. She works hard and contributes ideas willingly. She shows the confidence of a veteran teacher." Mrs. day presented Mrs. Hicks with the award because, " She has a variety of roles she fills during the day, sometimes things go smoothly and sometimes it’s a bit spicy but either way she takes the time to genuinely ask how staff are doing, and how the students are doing with a smile on her face!
