Central High School graduation requirements currently include a combination of credit accumulation and the demonstration of graduation standards through evidence of proficiency in the content. Most recently, the State of Maine has indicated school units will not be required to have students demonstrate proficiency in all 8 content areas as a requirement of receiving a diploma, as had been the law. RSU 64 will continue to work toward implementing a proficiency based system of education and will communicate proficiency of standards in content areas for students when appropriate.
