The Student Council is actively involved in enhancing the educational experience of the student body at Central High School. The council sponsors a breakfast at Homecoming, a semi-formal dance at Winter Carnival, and organizes dress-up days and contests throughout the school year. In addition, the council helps recognize members of the faculty and staff who have demonstrated excellence throughout the school year. During the spring, the council plants a community garden, which it oversees during the summer months. In August, the council harvests, cleans and donates its entire crop to the local food pantry.
