National Honor Society
Central High School has a very active National Honor Society chapter. All juniors and seniors who have attended CHS for at least one semester and who have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 88 or above are invited to complete an application for National Honor Society membership. A deadline for submission of the applications and supporting materials is advertised through daily announcements at school. The five-member CHS Faculty Council reviews applications and makes recommendations for student induction based upon how the student qualifies in terms of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS does service projects and sponsors school activities as well through the year. For more information contact Mr. Furlong.
